MY WALKING WORLD  David Preston

A weekend in the Lake District with 40sWalkerNorth - 05/02/10

Each year the  40sWalkersNorth hold a walking weekend based at the Glaramara Centre in Borrowdale  We always enjoy excellent food, good company and comfortable accommodation at the Glaramara Outdoor Centre   This year around forty of us attended and we had some great walks in the day with a disco and quiz in the evenings.

Heading down towards  Langstrath

The way down into Langstrath was very icy and we decided it would be more sensible to find another route so we retraced our steps back up here and headed across Esk Hause again  and then down towards Styhead Tarn

Down by Styhead Tarn and looking back at Great End

Another great weekend with 40sWalkersNorth- looking forward to 2011 already
